His rendition of Spandau Ballet's "Gold" will live in many people's memories, as he ended the audition song (aired on the Aug 23rd show) with a powerful long final note which lasted 28 seconds (without him taking a breath)!!!

Then, on December 13th 2008, Phill appeared on the X Factor Live Final show, performing in front of a celebrity audience (which included US TV Legend Jerry Springer [seen below], and former Blue singer Simon Webb, as well as the 4 X Factor judges)....
